Cambodja

With bicycles we start our visit the first day to the site of Angkor. Beautifull things we see: ruines between bushes, an elephant platform, temples overgrown by big snaky roots, reliefmurals full of floral disigns and buddhas, godesses, heros everywhere... All this in a landscape full of fields, treehouses, rivers, trees, ricefields, waterbuffelo´s.
Riding a bicycle is hard in Asia, burning hot! So the next two days we take a tuktuk. Much fresher!
We see so many faces of buddhas staring at us. We walk between huge stoneblocks. Two monks make a nice contrast with their orange clothes between the bluegrey rocks.
At sunset Angkor Wat, the most royal and famous of all temples here, is surprisingly quiet.
The thirth and last day we are enchanted again by ruines, sounds of the jungle, fierce lions of stone, monstrous templeguards. At the end of the day we find ourselves in a magnifiscent setting:  a deep temple (Preah Khan) with so it seems endless corridors. The late sun shines on the treeovergrown ruines. Our steps and the jungle are the only thing we hear. Breathtaking.

We are now in Chiang Mai (Thailand) and join a course of the Chiang Mai Thai Coockery School. We spend a day working with cury, noodles, nuts, lemongrass, coconutcream and much more... See the pictures!
