ten days of meditation
We go to a retreat in a small lovely paradise. Together with 30 other travelers we remain... silent. We learn how to meditate, concentrate, and a few basic principles of buddhism: compassion, impermanence and awareness.

We traveled great distance from the south to Delhi in the north, were we are waiting for our parents. On our way up, we stoped at spacious Mumbai and wounderfull Ellora- and Ajanta-cavetemples.

From Nepal back to India
Our last days with the Children in the orphenage were nice and touching. We went on a touristic trip with the whole gang to the highlights of Kathmandu and had a wonderfull goodbye party, we got lots of presents and gave a big chocolate cake ourselves. Then we had 2 hard days traveling to India to finally experience peace at Bodhgaya, the place where the buddha attained enlightenment.

Playing games with our kids and teaching in their school
We have settled ourselves for a while in Kathmandu were we play with and give all our lovely attention to the children of an orphenage and help them with their homework. We also teach at their school. A wonderfull experience

Wonderfull temples and the sacred Ganges
From Delhi we travelled on to Khajurao, a small town full of 1000 year old temples, known by their magnifiscent (erotic) stonecarvings. From there we travelled on to Varanasi, India´s most important bathingplace at the Ganges.

The valey of Spiti
We loved Tabo, enjoyed the temples, a Nepali wedding, a festival. We also visited the extraordinary gompa´s of Dankar and Lalung and traveled on to Manali.

We crossed a pass of 6500 meter
During 10 days we trekked trough high alititude plains and deep gorges, over a freshly snowed gletsjer to the Parang La pass at the dazeling hight of 5600 meter. Then we descended into the lovely valley of Spiti, were we stayed in a very friendly buddhist monastery.
